With its wide boulevards, atmospheric plazas, lively night scene, and laid-back atmosphere, the city of Mendoza is a good place to be. The name Mendoza is synonymous with wine and is the perfect place to base yourself if you plan on visiting the vineyards. With its close proximity to the Andes there are a handful of relaxing and action-packed Mendoza tours available.
All over the province of Mendoza, you will find vineyards to visit and taste the different wines, among which the famous Malbec is the most renowned. Some vineyards offer lodging, especially in Valle de Uco, where you can relax and enjoy great vistas of the Andes mountains.
With astonishing views of the Andes, a horseback excursion is an exciting activity you can undertake during your visit to Mendoza. Follow the footsteps of General San Martín, father of the Argentine independence, while you enjoy the sun and the tranquility of the landscape. For the more adventurous, there are multi-day excursions.
Not too far from Mendoza lies the Cacheuta Hot Springs. The pools temperatures range from 25 to 50 degrees and the minerals dissolved in their waters carry out a comforting body massage.
With a level 3 difficulty during most of the year (in summer it goes up to level 4), the Mendoza River allows travellers to enjoy a rafting day. With plenty of rapids, this river offers visitors the possibility of a good thrill.
Immerse yourself in the incomparable experience of flying. You will be dazzled with the background of the superposed silhouettes of the mountains of the Andes and the city of Mendoza. The dry and cloudless weather, with the almost omnipresent sun, makes Mendoza a perfect location to paraglide.
